Position Summary
The Home Builders Association is seeking an organized, energetic, and relationship-focused Events & Member Engagement Coordinator to create exceptional experiences that connect, educate, and engage our members.
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Association events, meetings, educational programs, and networking opportunities that enhance the value of membership and strengthen member involvement. The Events & Member Engagement Coordinator will also assist with sponsorship development and stewardship, helping build strong partnerships that support Association programs and events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan, coordinate, and execute Association events, meetings, educational programs, networking opportunities, and special member activities.
Manage event logistics including venue arrangements, catering, registrations, event materials, room setup, audiovisual needs, signage, and vendor coordination.
Develop event timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
Coordinate attendee registration and event communications in collaboration with staff.
Provide on-site event management and support to ensure a positive attendee experience.
Assist with planning and coordination of major Association events and initiatives as needed.
Member Engagement
Develop and implement strategies to increase member participation and engagement.
Foster positive relationships with members and serve as a resource for member involvement opportunities.
Support committees, councils, and volunteer leadership groups.
Help create programs and experiences that provide value to members and encourage ongoing participation.
Gather feedback from members and event attendees and recommend improvements for future programs.
Sponsorship & Partnership Support
Assist with sponsorship recruitment and retention efforts for Association events and programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, members, and industry partners.
Coordinate sponsor benefits and ensure sponsorship commitments are fulfilled.
Identify opportunities to increase sponsorship participation and support Association initiatives.
Track sponsorship agreements, payments, and recognition opportunities.
Administrative & Organizational Support
Maintain event records, attendance reports, and sponsorship tracking systems.
Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking for events and programs.
Prepare reports and summaries related to event attendance, member engagement, and sponsorship activity.
Support additional membership and organizational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience in event planning, member services, customer relations, hospitality, nonprofit management, or a related field.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with volunteers, sponsors, members, or community organizations is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event registration or database management software.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $42,000–$52,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
