Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Position Summary
The Home Builders Association is seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to elevate our brand, engage our members, and promote the building industry throughout our community.
This position is responsible for managing the Association's marketing and communications efforts, including social media, website content, email marketing, newsletters, advertising, and event promotion. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller who can create engaging content, build excitement around Association programs and events, and effectively communicate the value of membership to both industry professionals and the public.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing & Content Creation
Develop and manage engaging content across social media platforms.
Create compelling stories that highlight Association members, industry trends,
community impact, and organizational initiatives.
Plan, create, and schedule social media content to increase engagement and brand
awareness.
Capture and create photo, video, and written content for marketing campaigns and
Promotional efforts.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication channels.
Communications & Member Engagement
Create and distribute member communications through email marketing
campaigns, newsletters, and digital communications.
Assist with content development, layout, and design of newsletters and member
publications.
Promote Association programs, educational opportunities, networking events, and
member benefits.
Develop communications that increase member participation and engagement.
Website & Digital Marketing
Maintain and update website content to ensure information is accurate, current,
and relevant.
Coordinate digital marketing campaigns and online advertising efforts.
Assist with media buying and advertising placement coordination.
Monitor website and social media analytics and provide recommendations for
improvement.
Event Promotion
Develop and execute promotional campaigns for major Association events,
including the Home Show, Parade of Homes, and Showcase of Remodeled Homes.
Create marketing materials, advertising content, social media campaigns, and
communications that drive attendance and participation.
Promote member events, meetings, and educational programs to increase
awareness and engagement.
Project Management
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Maintain marketing and communication calendars.
Collaborate with staff, members, sponsors, and community partners to support
organizational goals.
Assist with additional marketing and communications initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations,
Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
Experience in marketing, communications, social media management, or content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong storytelling, editing, and content development abilities.
Experience with social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design software.
Experience with website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and
priorities.
Photography, videography, and event marketing experience are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $45,000–$55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
